Paris Day 1

We arrived to record temperatures in Paris. We've seen heat on this trip, but we've always had AC. Not so in Paris. I should have felt excited arriving in Paris. Instead I had anxiety. We have 5 days and no plan. We'll figure it out, we always do.

Our first day we went to the Museum D'Orsay, the Louvre and St. Chapelle Cathedral..

Paris is a big, beautiful city. If you ever get the chance, make the trip. I think you could spend a month just in museums.  I wish I had a commission on the gilt paint in this town.

The Museum D'Orsay

The Louvre

Van Gogh self portrait - still my favorite artist

The Winged Victory of Samothrace - I'm assuming it was stolen

The Mona Lisa - apparently the main attraction based on the throngs of tourists

From inside the pyramid

A painting that replaced the love locks on the Pont des Arts

Love locks left at the ends of the Pont des Arts
 Notre Dame

St. Chapelle Cathedral

St. Chapelle Cathedral - beautiful glass

The Seine

St. Jacques Tower

Typical art nouveau Metro entrance
