Brisbane

Our old friends and expats from Olympia, Ann, Craig, and Mya Tosomeen (Kai was enjoying his break), picked us  up at the Jucy office in Brisbane and showed us the sites.  At the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the unique fauna of Oceania were on display including the elusive platypus and cassowary.  We fed wallabies, watched sheep dog trials and saw sheep get sheared.

We went for a bush walk on Mt. Coot-tha that ended with ice cream and a view.
Our home for the night was the Brisbane Youth Hostel which beat many hotels we've been to.  After dinner we walked across the Brisbane River and all over the South Bank.

The next day we hit the suitcase flea market (people sell out of suitcases on the square), swam in the public lagoon, and went to the gallery of modern art.
