More Bernese Oberland

Another beautiful day in the Bernese Oberland. We took a train to Grindelwald and then a gondola to First. From there we hiked 4 miles (one way) up through snow to Lake Bussalp where we had a picnic. When we got back to First, we had biers and cold beverages before catching a 1,000 meter zip line to a gondola down to Bort where we rode Trottibikes (scooters) 5 kilometers back down to Grindelwald. All in all another beautiful day.

Lake Bussalp

A paraglider we met in First. He flew in from San Francisco to Zurich yesterday and caught the train/gondola to First this morning. His plan was to paraglide back to Interlaken.

Lake Bussalp - Jack eventually fell in up to his knees

Looking down the ziplines - I had a huge lead, but Jack came back to win

Check out this train track, it extends up the hill in the background. I can't even guess the grade 35%?
