Krabi Night 1
We wandered down to the beach last night and had a mixture of Indian and Thai food. Krabi is not a laid back island town like we've been used to. Where we are staying is a highly commercial, tourism epicentre with the most aggressive, but pleasant, hawkers of goods that we have experienced yet. Krabi Town is also quite large. It felt like we were in a city more than 10 kilometers before we got to the city limits. There is a lot of land development and construction underway. The temperate climate makes for few walls and more windows into the Thai lifestyle. Everyone's wares and equipment are out in the open and for the most part unsecured. Crime does not seem to be problem. Other than the pick pocket warnings in Bangkok and the possibility of losing the family in a crowd, I've not felt threatened in any way.
