Weird water falls

On Thursday we said good bye to Chiang Mai which was near the very top of all of our lists of places to go in Thailand. We drove 2 hours northeast into the mountains where we stayed the night in tree houses. On the way we stopped to see some very unique waterfalls (unique to me anyway, maybe not unique to Thailand). The mineral content in the water builds up under the flowing water, I'm guessing as it oxidizes.
